Rays of Hope has a big army of volunteers and a very small office staff. Donations made by credit card add efficiency to our operation and ensure that our employees can focus on the Rays of Hope mission of providing resources to survivors. To encourage credit card donations, Rays of Hope recognizes an individual's credit card fundraising efforts by awarding them with the following Pink Perks!

Ready to walk, fundraise and earn the official Walk & Run T-Shirt? To earn your official participant t-shirt, meet the minimum fundraising goal of $50 and embrace the power of pink! Here's How: 1. Register for the Walk & Run Toward the Cure on Sunday, October 19th.
2. Personalize your participant center to show your donors why you are walking. 3. Ask your family, friends and coworkers to help you reach your fundraising goal. 4. Track your progress on your participant center and receive the T-Shirt Badge once you've reached $50. 5. Check-in at registration on Walk Day to pick up your t-shirt and show off your pink spirit on the walk route! *PLEASE NOTE: T-Shirt sizes are available on a first come, first served basis, and must be picked up by the registered walker/runner or Team Captain on Walk Day ONLY. T-Shirts will not be shipped. |

You can become a BIG WIG by using your personal fundraising page to raise $1,000 or more in online credit card donations to help fund breast cancer research and support survivors in your community. Keep fundraising and achieve $3,000 or more in online credit card donations to become a SUPER BIG WIG. It’s simple—and the rewards are worth it!
As a Big Wig fundraiser, you’ll be recognized as the VIP you are at the Rays of Hope Walk & Run Toward the Cure, with access to the exclusive VIP Tent, thank you gifts and so much more!

While all donations are valued, only credit card donations are counted towards BIG & SUPER BIG WIG eligibility. To achieve Big Wig status, at least $1,000 in credit card donations must be recorded on your personal fundraising page by end of day on Friday, October 10th. Qualifying Big Wigs will be notified of their status by email in the week leading up to the Walk & Run on October 19th.

BIG QUESTIONS FOR BIG WIGS
1. I am collecting cash and check donations. When I add the amount of those donations, my fundraising total exceeds $1,000. Have I qualified for BIG WIG status?
Unfortunately not. Those donations require additional work to count and verify therefore, ONLY donations made by credit card add up to achieve Big Wig status. However, those donations will count in your total for two new fundraising recognition categories! The TOP 10 INDIVIDUAL and TOP 10 TEAM FUNDRAISERS will be recognized on the main page of the Rays of Hope website, on our giant jumbotron at the event, will receive a shout-out on our social media pages, and be recognized in our 2025 Spring newsletter.
2. I have been notified that I am a BIG WIG but am unable to attend the Walk & Run on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Can my thank you gift be mailed to me?
Due to the cost of mailing, only select items from the Big Wig and Super Big Wig thank you gift can be mailed to you after the event at your request.
3. My team raised $1,000 together. Do we all qualify for BIG WIG status?
BIG WIG status is awarded based on individual fundraising, not team totals. Therefore, the team as a whole would not qualify. However, any individual team member who raised $1,000 or more through qualifying online credit card donations by October 10th would be a eligible.
4. My fundraising goal shows that I have raised $1,000 on the morning of the Walk. If I show this to a Rays of Hope staff member, will I qualify as a BIG WIG?
To qualify as a BIG WIG, you must reach the $1,000 goal prior to October 10th and receive an email verifying this achievement. Rays of Hope staff members work hard to thoughtfully put together the perks of the BIG WIG program which takes additional time beyond what is available the morning of the Walk.
