Welcome to My Personal Page
My beautiful daughter, Jackie Spear, lost her battle with triple negative breast cancer on September 20, 2017. For those of us who loved Jackie and watched her determination to survive, it has been a heartbreaking journey.
Jackie received care at the D’Amour Center initially and then at Dana Farber. She even did one-week inpatient stints at both Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Baystate Medical Center, finally going home under Hospice Care. As she traveled down this path, she encountered providers and staff committed to the care they provided.
Now it is our turn to support the cause through the Rays of Hope.
Rays of Hope supports research at the Rays of Hope Center for Breast Cancer Research, treatment programs and services through the Baystate Health Breast Network, outreach and education and awards grants to support complementary therapies throughout western Massachusetts.
A team has been created to walk or run in Forest Park on Sunday, October 22, 2017. The “Fear Spear” team is a tribute to Jackie. As anyone who knew her knows, she was someone to be reckoned with in all matters of life. Our family can’t do this alone – I need your help to reach our fundraising goal. There is strength in numbers and together we can make a difference. All funds raised remain local.
Our goal: The largest number of walkers and the most dollars donated. Please make a contribution toward this goal and commit to walk if possible.
Thank you! Pat Kaplan “Jackie’s mom”
